created to create.... WEEK ONE

yesterday i wrapped up working through WEEK ONE of the illustrated faith created to create devotional kit & y'all.... i am SO IN LOVE.  every little bit of this content is tugging at my creative heart strings!!

i'm so happy i took the extra time + energy at the beginning of the month to create this DIY booklet with lots of little paper pieces tucked inside.  having a book format has really helped me to intentionally engage with the devotion & it's kept me way more organized in getting pen/paint/washi down on paper.  the additional paper scraps + tip-ins are giving me some much needed creative spots to pray, meditate + dig deeper into the weekly devotional.

want a little peek at my week one??

i intentionally created a BLANK page in the very front of my booklet so that i could first+foremost give my effort with this devotional over to God in prayer.  i pulled some wordfetti inspo into the prayer & used some of the print & pray shop pieces for eye candy! [this particular set is the "pray, create, repeat" by jess robyn]

week one devotion followed by one of the kit journaling cards.

i took my journaling cues from the card front prompt: "how do you see creativity alive in the world?" this is something i'm constantly marveling at -- how God created all of us with our own unique tendencies & personality.  it's crazy to think about!!!

i outlined one of the paper pieces included in the devo kit + decorated with some washi tape [illustrated faith -- how He loves us devo kit from october 2016] + a cute little washi chicken!!

next up, i used my jumbo shipping tag & the illustrated faith homespun alpha stamps along with my dymo to put down a little sentiment of praise.

here's the back side of the jumbo shipping label.  i loaded the tag [doily + all] into my WRMK typecast typewriter & just HAD FUN!  accolades, lyrics, prayers, typos.  total perfection with this little filler spot!

the "oh amen!" stamp is from the illustrated faith tis the season devotional kit from december 2016 [available on clearance here].  i'm basically obsessed with it.

my last little journaling section for week one was a tip-in from the illustrated faith 'you are loved' line [i'm unconditionally & irrevocably in love with this line].  i took three translations of the week one verse -- genesis 1:1 -- and journaled them here.  yes, i journaled in a foreign language hah!

and now, on to WEEK TWO! i can't wait!!
come find me on instagram for sneak peeks throughout the week :]
