illustrated faith: revival camp new devotional kit [1/3]

hello summer friends! i'm so stinking excited to show off the NEWLY designed devotional kits from our besties at illustrated faith.... and i'm doubly stinking excited [!!!] that the new design is premiering with one of my all time favorite series of devotionals -- REVIVAL CAMP!

i've got a full unboxing video already posted over on my youtube channel & if you've got a little minute to watch, you can dig in right along with me!

but if you're just here for a quick like overview & some paint colors to pick up at tar-jay, i've got you covered, friend :]

the new design for the monthly devo kits is pretty fun & exciting for those of us who really love to dig into a theme or topic.... starting now with revival camp, the main idea for each series will span the course of three kits/three months.  that's a lot of awesomeness, right?! i am so excited for this change up & can't wait to see how it works out in the coming months!! each kit will still be different, with fresh content + pretty goodies tucked inside, but will continue with the same overall topic for three months.

for our first kit with revival camp, there are four devotional content pages included [i've glued mine down inside THIS traveler's notebook from my etsy shop -- you can never go wrong with buffalo plaid!], but i intend to do most of my camp journaling directly in my ESV journaling bible.

i pulled a small sampling of my favorite products -- all that i already had on hand which means FREE to me this time around! -- to use as my camp kit.  washis, paints, ephemera from recent IF collections [i love the colors from all people all nations that coordinate so well!] as well as my tride + true tools.... TAB punch, tiny attacher, mega date stamp, basics tool kit & my wordfetti booklet.

for paints, i pulled from my current collection & matched as best as i could.  i'm never one for perfection, so "close enough" is always okay for me :]

all paints shown are satin acylic and purchased from target, with the exception of one....
  • egg [for a more rustic feeling white]
  • shell
  • a pretty poppy red that i can't remember the name of [i'm so sorry!]
  • goldenrod
  • avocado
  • MARTHA STEWART brand satin green olive
  • jade
  • cornflower
  • forget-me-not

i'm so excited to be collecting these embroidered badges each month during revival camp -- what are you going to do with your badges? i need some ideas, friends!!

illustrated faith: stronger together new devotional kit

happy june, lovelies! it's summer vacation for all of us mamas & maybe my household isn't the only one in need of something calming, soothing & quiet to depend on when the kids get a little wild ;) i'm excited to be diving in to the new illustrated faith devotional kit stronger together this month during household nap time -- i just love the beautiful, tonal colors and the idea of gathering together all across the world as a strong community of believers!

the new kit is soooo super cute & full of all of our favorite goodies!! these budget-friendly kits are priced at just $20 [be sure to use the coupon code IFSHIPSFREE for free domestic shipping], and this month you can optionally add an extra stamp kit for just $10 more.  plusssss -- washi tape is back in the kit this month, friends!!!

i've got a fun youtube video unboxing this kit that you can see below :]  the second half of the video is a sneak peek into my supply stash for the month as well as a few items i've pulled to create my DIY booklet for the month!

i'm so pumped for this month's kit & i can't wait to see all of your own creations as we journal as a community of strong believers together! xo

my 100 days of bible promises supply kit!

hey sweet friends! i hope you all have had a wonderful weekend & you're ready for a fresh week full of fresh grace!

i was so excited to open up a yummy package of happy mail this weekend with my copy of 100 days of bible promises -- the newest book from my darling friend shanna!! this book is filled cover to cover with God's goodness through devotion + prayers, gorgeous colors & plenty of empty spaces to be filled with journaling galore!

i just can't wait to start this 100 day-long project of diving in to God's promises for each of us & i'm REALLY pumped that we'll be sharing our growth in a fun little pop-up community group on facebook! you can join us in the group HERE & we'll be kicking off on april 3rd [but join in whenever you can, friends!]

as always, i love to pull together a kit of coordinating supplies so that i can intentionally focus each day on the words God will have for me rather than 'oh what paint color should i choose today?!' i started these project-themed supply kits back in november & it has been such a game changer for me for diving in to the Word but still holding on to the creativity of art worship!

everyone's top question for me is always -- 'have you chosen your paint colors yet?'.... you guys totally get me & my love for these pretty paints ;) i was able to sneak away to target for some fun crafty shopping while the kids napped & caleb worked on his 1980-something honda motorcycle [the project that just keeps giving, friends....] today & now i'm ready to share my colorful finds!

i had a good portion of these paints already on hand [yay!], but added a few to my ever-growing stash.  all paints are satin finish & include the following colors: elephant, azalea, shell, goldenrod, avocado, robin's egg, jade & deep sea.  i even grabbed up a set of the homemade modern paintbrushes in the same paint aisle at target to try out.... y'all watch for a mini review coming on that soon!

extra goodies i'm grabbing up....

a jumbo fabric paper clippie from my shop [those teal crosses are a must!], homespun alpha stickers, wordfetti booklet, washi tapes & my favorite pen!

i'm hoping to keep each page somewhat simple with just a wee little bit of paint along with a piece of ephemera goodness or two & a major focus on journaling.  i pulled four packages of ephemera from my current collection of paper pieces & i'm planning to scrap-bust my way through them in this project! a few of them are still available & linked below, but some are retired by their designers.

and if you're wondering what that contraption there at the bottom is....

a handheld sewing machine.... what what?! oh yes, friends! this project is going to get so texture-y & fun! i found this little gem on amazon & have not yet tried it, but once i get her going you know she'll be joining us live on IG + FB for some epic bible journaling sessions :]

i truly can't wait to begin this project & i prayerfully anticipate God showing up in my life in huge, magnificent, colorful ways!!! will you be joining us for 100 days of bible promises, too?

join me for succa 4 jesus online....

ooooh i've been keeping a fun little secret the past few months & this week i finally get to share.... i have a brand new online workshop live on the illustrated faith site, friends :]

if you joined us earlier this year for my fresh focus class, you'll love this class just as much! succa 4 Jesus is all about digging deep, watering our souls & growing our roots down into Christ.  everything is gorgeously themed around one of my most favorite things in the world.... succulents!!! so perfect for spring & summer bible journaling, right?!

i wrote this four-session workshop as a reminder to myself -- things i needed to bear in mind & bind on my heart.  promises from God that needed meditating & journaling in my life.  what an incredible honor it is to have the opportunity to share these same words that speak life into me with YOU ALL!

you can find our online class available for download in the illustrated faith digital shop for just $15 through 3/27/18 -- the price will bounce up to $19 at that time & remain there for those of you shopping later :]

here's a quick little run-through of some of the goodies i've compiled for my own personal class kit that you'll see me use throughout the workshop -- please don't feel like you HAVE to have any of these items, friend! the only resources you'll need for this class is the downloadable content, a pen & your bible! the rest is just super fun extras ;)

i gathered all of my downloaded + printed content into a simple traveler's notebook.  i used one of these cute krafty girl TN sets from my own etsy shop [grab yours here] & even implemented the pretty kraft doily + wooden clothespin clip from the set into my journaling throughout the course! i made sure to leave plenty of blank pages between each week of content for extra journaling & prayers as i rework my way through the class again.

you can see more of my TN set up + prep work on my youtube here :]

if you choose to create your own TN, you'll receive downloads within the class for a gorgeous front + back cover like seen above! all of our artwork was created by my friend tamara & she spoiled us so good in this class, y'all!!!

my paint colors found in my class kit are a mix of favorites that i already had on hand [i'm such a paint junkie!]....

from the target homemade modern line, i grabbed goldenrod, pistachio, avocado & forget-me-not [all in satin finish] as well as my shimmer aqua.  i also pulled iridescent bright gold + medium magenta from my liquitex stash along with my ever faithful titanium white from the IF acrylic collection.

additional supplies i'll have on hand can all be found through the links below!

it is my fervent prayer that this class will bless you in your own season of life -- no matter where you are or what is going on, friend, know that God completely adores you & is ready to flourish your life with God-growth.... all you have to do is let Him in! xo

illustrated faith: all things new devotional kit

happy march first -- aka new illustrated faith devo kit release day!!! hah ;)

this month's kit "all things new" is sooooo perfect for kicking off spring time, friends!  the colors are just so bright + yummy, and the content is AMAZING in prompting us to dwell in the newness God has blessed our lives with!

want to take a peek inside the kit? here's a youtube unboxing video i made for ya....

i told you it was amazing, right??! i was so excited to jump into the kit today & session one was E X A C T L Y the message my heart needed! i journaled live on instagram & i had to choke back sobs as i was reading through the devo card.... God was so present in my craft room! so many chills, friends....

the phrase that caught me the most in session one [and ultimately made it into my bible margin] was this....
those things that seem late or impossible to us are just a breath away from YES at the hand of God.
i mean... WOW, friends!!! such an incredible word.  if session one is any inclination to the epicness that the all things new kit is going to be.... i better saddle up for an incredible ride! i'm definitely entering in to the presence of God with great expectation this month!

as always, i love to share with you babes all of my "extra" supplies i add to my bible journaling desk as i create with the monthly kit.  it has helped me SO MUCH in streamlining the fun artsy part of bible journaling & gives me so much more time to dwell RICHLY in the Word when i have all of these coordinating supplies already pulled & ready to be used in my bible :]

my paint colors for this month aren't exact matches on some of the hues, but they are close enough to make me happy & silver lining.... i had them all on hand so i didn't have to buy any paint! that probably makes my hubby super happy ;)  i chose martha stewart satin in plum [middle in the photo above] along with my faves from target's handmade modern collection.... shell, lilac, robin's egg, jade + honey.

watch for my next post -- i'll be working on creating my coordinating DIY booklet this weekend & i'll share all those extra little journaling + prayer spots with you soon!!

illustrated faith: this is love devotional kit

it's a fresh, new month & you know what that meanssssss, y'all! a brand new devotional from my favorite friends at illustrated faith!

february is always one of my most favorite months for a devotional series.... my heart strings are just tugged on constantly by my passion for sharing how loved & adored we are by our Heavenly Father & diving in to a love-curated series is just my cup of tea!

this month's AH-dorable devo kit -- This is Love -- from illustrated faith is seriously giving me a gajillion heart eyes, y'all! not only are the colors soooo fun [i love that it's not *just* pinks + reds], but the content cards are P E R F E C T I O N!!!! there is sooooo much goodness packed in this month!

my painty color palate for the month is pulled from my current stash of target + illustrated faith acrylics.... i chose a handful of satin paints from the handmade modern collection at target [jade, avocado, pistachio, goldenrod + shell] as well as the bright pink + classic white tubes from shanna's favorite acrylic set to round out my month of color.

i LOVE creating a color palate at the beginning of each month to match the current devo colors.  it helps me to cut down on the time i would spend deciding on daily entry colors & allows me to really focus on the good words God has for me.  #winning

in addition to pre-selecting paints every month, i also gather up a bunch of coordinating goodies such as ephemera pieces, tab sets & paper pads.  this month, the You are Loved collection is a picture perfect match for the colors & vibe of the february devo kit, so you know i scooped all those up into a cute little tin to have sitting at the ready on my bible journaling desk ;)

illustrated faith: goals [DIY booklet]

hi there, friendsies! i have had lots + lots of requests lately to put together another one of my fun DIY booklets that i create to coordinate with the monthly illustrated faith devotionals....

well, friends? you're wish is my command! i ADORE making these little memory books, full of journaling + prayerful spots, colorful ephemera & devotional content to inspire me all month long :]

i put together a video of my creative process for this month's DIY booklet for the illustrated faith goals devotional kit so you can get a visual feel for how it all goes together....

i'm telling y'all.... putting together a DIY booklet is seriously so much fun & such a good way to really start the creative juices flowing for a new devo kit!

i chose to keep this month pretty simple with coordinating supplies for my kit.  i chose just four paint colors to use primarily with my bible pages throughout the devotional series [satin jade, satin shell + satin goldenrod are all from target | white paint tube is my ALL TIME FAVE from the illustrated faith acrylic set].

additionally, i pulled any little items i found laying about in my crafty stash to use in my booklet.... here's a quick run-down of my main supplies with affiliate links if you want to be supply twins!

y'all have fun creating!!!
pssst.... you can find more of my DIY booklet creations HERE :] xo

new online workshop.... FRESH FOCUS!

happy new year, lovelies! i can not believe it is already 2018, but alas here it is!! i've been holding on to a fun little secret the past couple of months & i'm so excited to unveil it today!

i have a NEW online workshop in collaboration with illustrated faith called Fresh Focus that launched earlier today.  the workshop will span the course of the next month with new video content releasing each week.... but i truly love that this devotional course is evergreen enough to meet you in any life season, whether it's at the beginning of a new year, new month, or just a tuesday in july.

i wrote Fresh Focus as a way to remind my own self of the many promises of newness that God has given us throughout the scriptures.  every day we have a chance to start aFRESH, to learn to let go & let God, and to find inspiration in setting God-given goals for ourselves.

just like the parable found in luke 5:36-38, we can't pour new wine [goals + resolutions] into old wineskins.... it will break the skin.  instead, we must pour our fresh ambitions into a new wineskin -- a foundation built soundly on faith!

i am so excited to work through Fresh Focus with you all together as a community.  you can find the online workshop available for immediate download HERE in the illustrated faith digital shop along with the intro video where i show step-by-step how to set up your very own Fresh Focus travelers notebook!

as i journaled a quick prayer in the margins of luke 5 today, i knew i had more words to lift up to God.  one of my favorite things about starting a new study or devotional series is to PRAY IT out first -- fully give over my heart + mind to let God take control during the series so that i can authentically learn + change + grow.

so i pulled out my Fresh Focus TN that i made during the workshop intro & PRAYED IT OUT first + foremost.  more words, more adoration, more requests for a changed heart.  i used lots of pretty artwork + wordfetti from the workshop printables along with some of the new made-to-match print & pray items [those highlighter paintbrushes + alphas are so fab!!]

i also pulled some pretty paints for my Fresh Focus color palette.... they aren't an exact match, but they're fun + coordinate nicely :]

my handmade modern paint jars are sold exclusively at target -- i chose shell, pistachio, robin's egg, lilac, coral + avocado.  i may pull out my goldenrod later on, but for now i'm having fun mixing up my illustrated faith acrylics [currently on sale for just $10!] to make a more golden orangey color to match the class!

i've gathered a small handful of other goodies to use throughout the course.... the pineapple file folder [purchased in the target dollar spot last summer] holds all of my print & pray goodies as well as all four weeks of downloaded content + art printables for the workshop.

i grabbed my two favorite illustrated faith paper pads -- you are loved and faith>fear -- for tab + tip-in creating. finally i pulled some highlighter washi, black + white criss cross washi, colored precision pens [they match so well!] and the IF basics tool kit to use throughout the month.

i'm SO excited for this class & i hope you'll join in with me over the next month & throughout the year.  this workshop is perfect for any season of life, so don't feel like you can't join in late, friend!
